All -
After having some issues with my account (My DVR Lifetime subscription went missing after a receiver replacement), the CSR I spoke with finally got the DVR Lifetime reattached to my account.
Good.
In the process, she managed to put my two remaining TiVos in a state where they require activation. This normally isn't a problem -- force a call, and we're in like Flynn. Live TV and playback of existing programs works, but it won't record.
The problem is that the two remaining TiVo's (1x GXCEBOT and 1x SD-DVR40) I have are both experiencing modem issues. One won't dial at all, and the other one picks up the phone, dials, and never connects to anything -- not even the test call, or the 1-800# call. It just comes back and says "no answer".
Eek.
So - any suggestions on how to get them activated, or should I just have them replaced?
If it's possible to (easily) get them working again, great. If not, I'll get 'em replaced.
(Note: easily does not include recovering an image to the HD.)
