I have a problem with my HR20 and want to know if anyone has a solution. I have an HR20 in the living room but access it from the bedroom also. I therefore use the RF remote setting. When I change channels the unit sometimes keeps changing long after I stop pressing channel up or down. I can even take the batteries out of the remote and the channels keep changing. I even changed remotes but the problem still happens. The light on the HR20 is blinking like it is getting a remote signal. The only way to stop it is yo push the channel selector on the remote again, in the opposite direction of which way the channels are scrolling. Ii hope someone has an idea of the problem.

It sounds like you have an HR20-100 (with an external rf antenna)? This is notorious for having bad rf (I have one and it constantly does not accept the command or it accepts it multiple times).
Unfortunately there is no quick fix. Make sure your antenna is in. You could try making or getting a different antenna. Some people have found a solution where they had an rf extender that fitted into the 2nd battery slot (and then took a smaller battery) and it works 100% - you will have to search yourself.
Your best option is an alternative rf source which you will have to buy.

Yes the RF sucks with the HR20-100. Where can u get a different antenna? What about the RF extender you were talking about?

Here (http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=106517&highlight=rf+extender) is a remote extender that is quite cool and was discussed recently. It's the one mentioned in the above post.

In the living room, I have 2 HR20 units. Will that be a problem? Also, does DTV have a different HR20 that does work well with RF. :nono2:

No, just set the two units to the two different code sets that are built into the HR20. Go to Setup > Remote and walk yourself through the menu to make this happen.
