I thought I read somewhere that under the Premier package, HD was included with the programming. Under Plus HD DVR it is automatically included. I would think they would include it with such a high tiered package.

Can I get some feedback on this?

No, with the Premier package you have to pay the HD access fee and if you got the Premier package after July 6th you also have to pay for the DVR service. If you had it before that date the DVR service is included.

You have to remember that the HD subscribers are still a relatively small percentage of D*'s customer base.

Maybe next year they will make a Premier HD DVR package for $10 more as an alternative way for Premier users to get free DVR service ;)

If it were $10.00 more how could it be free?

Sorry for not being clear. What I meant was to have a Premier HD DVR package for $109.99. This is the same price that Premier users pay for the package + HD Access ($99.99 + $9.99).

I think I am going to have to reconsider the premier package then as I just don't watch showtime and barely watch Cinemax. The sports channels are never watched except for NFL Network.

I liked the idea of the premier package, but I just can't justify the cost :)

I hope the "Total Access" package comes to fruition. One price, all channels, DVR, HD and unlimited receivers. Was on D*'s site a few months ago and dissappeared before it became a reality. Would be simple.

Wasn't there some platinum package that included all of the PPV shows and everything for some CRAZY price?
