Dishplayer---SCREWED UP AGAIN

Well gang guess its for certain I am going to cancel my pvr service on the DP. Anyone else loose the ability to ff rewind skip and pause? I have tryed to reboot(unplugged, pulled smartcard,ect) no luck. Hate to call dish and sit on the phone forever. Also I can still record, but not with the timers. Have to start it manually. This situation has been getting worse over the last couple of weeks. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanx

Sometimes the re-set code, 32768, fixes that problem. To use it, turn off your DishPlayer, wait until the Green LED stops flashing, press the options button on the remote and key in the code. If you use it you will have to re-set some things (like your channel list and favorites lists).

Some DishPlayers are really having problems lately. One of mine won't allow you to watch a program while you record it (you just get a black sceen). After you stop recording you can watch the recorded program fine, you just can't watch while recording.

Thanx Bill I will give that a try and see what happens. I too have that problem which you referred to above, another in the heap. The real clincher for me was the dam thing not recording WWE Raw on Monday and Enterprise on Wednesday. Then it has not allowed me to get Pay Per View a few times lately. Dont know what to expect next? I am going to cancel the service at the end of this billing cycle and go back to the old VCR- what a pain, but at least my shows were there. Thanx again and I will let you know what happens with the options code.
