Here are some good questions that the ny,nj area people should ask Cheap Charlie...
Charlie why hasn't your cheap ass put the Yes Network on?
Why are you going to increase our bill by 2 bucks without adding any good channels?
How do you feel about the many subs that you have lost to DTV?
Hmm, because YES wants to charge Charlie for anybody with the package, even if they're our of area to receive YES. Therefore, it would raise our rates and we'd see nothing!

Zac: Then why does DirecTV have YES and also $31.99, and don't just say because they are losing money.

Zac: How do they also have NESN, OLN, and Bloomberg on the TC package for $31.99? I'm sorry he can try to compete against cable all he wants, but he also has to compete with D*.

When will you (E*) get rid of Mr. Moron, senior product engineer, who reminds me of Butt Head when he chortle's over product bug questions on Charlie Chat.
Where's Hartford/New Haven Ct Locals. How many more locals will there be? How does Charlie pick them?

When is Charlie going to get out of the buggy hardware business and leave it to the real receiver manufacturers?
1 - What the heck happened last Thursday night that caused many folks to loose service and what is Echostar doing to prevent it from happening in the future?
2 - What's the odds of having ESPN-HD available on its launch date?
3- What's the odds of Dish adding one or more HDNet channels?

1. List the next ten locals that you will most likely ad, like D* did.
2. Your HBO/Max pack is not much of a package without the other four Cinemax channels. Why are you only adding two Max channels.
3. Why raise everyone rates, when it is obvious that sports is driving the price ioncreases. We want alacart programming choices or movies packages and sports packages, so the people watching sports pays for there programming.
Chas:
1. What steps are you taking to improve quality of firmware releases?
2. What steps are you taking to lower your operational costs?
- How has the failure of the merger impacted costs to the subs?
- Are the YES Network negotiations continuing or are they dead? Can we hope to see the network by April 2003?
- What efforts are being undertaken to improve PQ?
- Do you plan on offering a D* switchover discount to attract their subs?
- Why can't PVR timers show the name of the show being recorded?

Why can't we have YES as a stand alone subscription channel?
If not allowed by YES, will we ever have it on D*?
Will we get ESPN-HD? If so, when?
When will we get MORE HDTV? :D

Since Dish has no interest in enabling PSIP Info for the 6000, I would like to know if the 921 will have it out of the box?

I second the ???'s on the 119 bird issue! Two times in less then a week! They need to fix their problems before charging more!
Is DISH trying to compete with cable by imitating them, system failures, poor picture quality, and price increases?

I want to know whether there are any plans to add BPM TV to the lineup.

I'd like to see Goodlife TV added as well as other MTV and VH1 Themed channels added. Cable has them how about Dish now????

I agree and would like to see those channels now.
Maybe 119 will go out around the time Charlie Chat comes on then when it comes on ''thank you for viewing the Charlie Chat, then next one will be.....''

hehe - i think if Charlie wanted to answer all of the above Questions, - lol - he d ran out of time :)
"Why can't the PVRs do name-based recording?"
Both of mine do. :D

with all the questions people wan't to hear, maybe the Charlie Chat's should be 2 hrs instead of 20 mins of Infomercials advertising what's on PPV and HBO etc. 1 hour is too short to get everything in.

lol - maybe Charlie and Jim should remain there at Studio 24/7? :)
Charlie Chat, Tech Chat and Retailer Charlie Chat (for people who can lay their hands on it) - still better then watching monthly "What's new this months on DTV" (with T. Memme and that other dude) - repeating themselves over and over again...month after month :)
