Multichannel circles are buzzing over the upcoming FCC decision on line-sharing issues for local telco companies.

Many believe the Commission is leaning toward letting the former Baby Bells keep exclusive, or close to exclusive, use of their new infrastructure such as high speed fiber lines. That could make the Bells far more powerful in today's high-speed access wars, giving the cable guys a new set of headaches. The decision is expected in late February and you can expect a lot of screaming if the FCC goes with its current tilt.
