No that is a diplexor. It stacks (combines) a off air antenna (or cable tv source) with the sat signal to pass both down one wire to another diplexor where it is unstacked to two cables again.

Couldn't you put Sat1 and Sat2 connections on it, and run the one wire to the TV, then split it off again?

No. SWM is a completely different animal. Lots of info here about how it works. Do a search. SWM are a D* item only, limited availabilty right now.

so you don't have to search, an SWM allows 1 wire to be plugged into a receiver (DVR), and be used for BOTH tuners. NOT ALL DVRs ARE COMPATIBLE WITH THIS, so beware.

Other receivers will still work with the SWM, you just need to run two lines from it, and don't really reap any benefit.
Not to hijack, but what's the point of using an SWM with the non-dvr models listed above?

you can use a satellite splitter with the swm. Useful for cheaply wired homes with daisychained splitters (although those must be replaced with better splitters)

at one point of time i had a HR20 & the H20 in the same room. so only needing 1 coax going into this room made things a lot easier and less complex.

the list i made was on current "active" receivers.

Not only is that not a SWM but is a diplexer, it is a particularly bad diplexer as it significantly lowers the gain coming out of it (Trust me, I used these for a time).
