dishonline and 448?

ok.. So I thought that getting L4.48 software would let me use the Dishonline.com website to change what my DVR records.

I whent on D-online and noticed that there is no more instructions on how to set it, and also noticed that i recived 4.48 software yesterday.

ideas?

L4.48 was never to have Dishonline.com, only the beta that some got has this facility. Dish has not said whether Dishonline will go forward or not.

At the end of the beta, they left it open to interpretation about when it would be available. What they were clear about was that it would NOT be in 4.48. Dishonline was functional. It was possible to set up recordings and the DVR got that command very quickly. Better implementation than TiVo. Of course, TiVo only calls home once a day, while Dish vip722 is calling home every 20 seconds!

No one knows when they'll finish the dishonline feature.

The hope amongst the beta testers is that we'll have a new s/w version to test over the holiday break... which is ripe with extra time for testers to play.
