According to [urk=http://www.dishretailer.com/documents/price.doc]this memo[/url], "The next Retailer Chat is scheduled for Tuesday, January 14, 2003 at 12:00 noon EST on Channel 999."
So, any publically releasable news?

I was able to watch todays chat live (usually someone tapes it for me) and there was nothing to report.
Basiclly it was a repeat from last night including ads for HBO, but this time they had a VP of HBO on instead of the woman from Sex in the City.
Someone called in and asked Jim about the outtages and Jim said (with a straight face) that he knew of no outtages recently.
I am starting to get scared.

How much would 3 DTivo's, an eliptical dish and necessary switches cost?? Just being prepared if something bad is going down with E*. :)

If Jim really didnt know oif the outage then it confirms there are SERIOUS BIG TIME PROBLEMS. I wonder if Mike Dugan is also clueless about whats happening?
Just WHO is running the store? Beancounters? Whoever it is driving it into the ground.

He knew of no outages!!!!
My god Dish is being ran by total morons, Direct is calling my name more and more everyday. If I lose service again anytime soon and they say they don't know about it I think that will be the straw that breaks the camel's back..
Oh well, Charlie is obviously in denial. :)

Charlie is saying "the merger will fix the outtages our customers are seeing", oh wait, the merger is off... :D
Maybe those "outages" were planned and not really called "outages". :)

Oppps - my appologies Scott :)
I missed the word "live" (above) - (when posting my Higher/privious post)
lol - before i read it/misread it somehow as: "I was able to watch todays chat (usually someone tapes it for me)"
I was probably in a hurry :)

Is it just me or is Charlie playing dumb? He should know more answers about some of the questions instead of looking in the back for answers, dont you think? That just does not seem right to me.

If a CEO knows the details of every aspect of what his company is doing, he isn't going to be successful long. He will have KNOWLEDGE of everything, but shouldn't know the little details. If he hired good people he trusts them to make certain decisions and he concentrates on the big decisions.

Maybe Jim and Charlie were watching Cable TV or Directv at the time of the outtages. :)

Some will not be able to have any added because the spot beams are filled, just like mine. When is the next satellite going up and will they be putting up more spotbeams or having a greater capacity for the ones they have now when they do go up? Those are some questions that should be answered as well.
