Strange HD Issue

Well, tech came out on Friday, ended up replacing my entire dish, got the signals back up to the 90's and my tuners back but I am still having the vertical lines with white and blue dots on many HD channels, it shows up more prominently on dark scenes or dark clothing, it looks like everyone has pinstripes on their dark clothing, very hard to watch. SD channels are fine, HD channels in the 70's, ESPN 206, and HBO 501 are perfect, all other HD channels including locals all have these vertical lines. The tech stated he has never seen this and thus had me order a new HR20 which should be here this week, we will see.

That sounds similar the problem I when using component cables to connect my HR20-700 to my Samsung HDTV. I switched to using an HDMI cable and all the picture quirks immediately were gone. If you have it hooked up via HDMI now, you may want to try a component hook-up and see if that clears it.

If the problem is identical on the HDMI cable, then you are looking a receiver issue.
