People at E* - Please change a couple of incorrect EPG Ch. Names - for 592 and 593!

If anyone from Echostar is viewing this (or anyone who can relay this Message to Echostar):

Can you please - People at Dishnetwork - Change 2 incorrect EPG names - for Channels 592 and 593!?
Just recently those 2 channels changed their Names and Logos from NTVi (NTV) and NTV+ to RTVi and RTVi+...
So how about please changing names of EPG accordingly to something simular to stay Up-to-date...
EPG names usually go up to 5 symbols, so good examples for the new EPG names would be:

RTVI (for RTVi new name)
and
RTVI+ (for RTVi Plus new name)

Those 2 examples would be great EPG names (exactly the same as current Logos on screen)

new Russian channel's - 594 - Logo is OK though (it is as supposed to be - NTBA (stands for NTV America) ( Russian letter "B" = to english letter "V" - lol :) )

The also need to fix two of the adult channels (XTSY is listed as TXTSY and ECLIP is listed as TCLIP) Someone mentioned this last week in our Charlie Chat... Chat. :)

hehe - lol - YES i know people..
I already noticed, and was going to post here the update...But looks like you people beat me to it (while i was doing something else) :)

"See Echostar really does listen" - Steve - lol - either that or...I wasn't the only one that requested this change - i requested as well at forum where RTVi people hang out..and I am pretty sure the person that works for RTVi posted that he emailed Echostar personally about this, but he wasn't sure how long it would take, etc :)

anyhow - it is done!

Scott - those adults channels - "T" in front of the more proper name..was just changed recently by Echostar... - i know that older names looked more correct..but i just wonder if maybe T in front represents something... - like "The" maybe, or "Ten" (cuz now i think they are all part of some Ten network..and that Ten network's advertisement had been reported to be on all the time on those Channels..
Do not think they would fix those 2 back as they were (even though it seems better before then now)...
But - maybe someone should email them about that - and see what happens..or at least find out what "T" in front represents - lol :)

The other night I saw a DISH inserted commercial for "TENClips" so maybe TCLIP is a correct abbreviation for that channel.

Scott - seems like those 2 adult EPG names are correct!

here is a quote from TNGTony's latest Changes:
"Changed the names of channels 494 and 496 from "Erotic Television Clips" and "Extasy" to their new names "TEN Clips" and "TENxtsy" respectively"

I thought so anyhow that they had something to do with TEN - that is why they put "T" in front of old EPG channel names :)

P.S. - hmm - seems like i became an "Icon" now (i guess over 500 posts or something like that) :blush:
If so - what is the next Step - 1000 posts?
Or 500 is the highest title available anyhow? :blush:

not sure about Godfather at 1000 Tony,
( cuz i was Godfather already - even at 499, but as i reached 500 post plato - it changed me to Icon instead of Godfather...SO i wouldn't think it will go back Godfather at 1000 plato :) )

But who knows - i ve been known to guess wrong (on occasion) :)

Most likely, the providers have control over the channel ID.
Distribution networks can suggest an ID, but the provider has final say in the contract.

what is the longest ID name you can find? Maybe we should suggest some longer names

i am pretty sure EPG name is maximum - 5 characters...
It is probably enough too - cuz it is only an EPG name thats all...and if they make it too long - then in Guide - the part on the left might become larger, leaving less room for the TV programs, etc on Right (larger) part of the screen...
