We're in the middle of installing and testing a new feature. Stay tuned, and thanks for the feedback.

Ok, the new feature is installed. Please, if and when you vote, let me know if you can see the vote totals. You should be able to see the Total number of votes cast, but not the number of votes cast for each option - they should read "0". Thanks for the help.

Don't forget, you can also change your vote by clicking on the link in the title bar.

So when can we see the actual votes per option?

Without that, there's goes my strategy for the Survivor Polls that served me so well last time. ;)

You'll be able to see the votes after the poll closes. But the Survivor contest isn't what this was installed for. Something else is coming soon that we're pretty excited about.

When I try to vote, I get the following error message: "The action you have attempted could not be performed as your session appears to be invalid. Click the below link to attempt this action again with a new session." :(

Kevin - is the first time you've had trouble voting? Didn't you have some problems with it 4 or 5 months back during the survivor contest?

Try logging out and clearing all of your cookies and cache then log back in and see if that fixes the problem.

Works as advertised. Wonder if that holds true if someone happens to vote for the 2nd choice?

Mark - I just tried voting with my seperate Internet Explorer browser and it worked. Seems to be the AOL browser that is giving me the voting problems.

Ah. That's good to know Kevin. Thanks for the info.

Is the point in having no results until the poll is closed so that the decision of others does not persuade you different in what you would choose, but have it be a more truer vote result?

Mark Lamutt
01-16-03, 04:12 PM
Yes, that's exactly the point, and I'm only planning on using it for one thing. You'll find out the details on Monday morning... :D

OK, conjecture on Monday's announcement........?

921 News?
New Contest for a 721?
721 Keyboards (nah, too small of an announcement)

Damn, I'm lousy at waiting. Good job of building up expectations though..........

I think I have an idea because of something mentioned somewhere, won't tell though, only us Gold Members know if its what I think it is. Maybe if we wait 5 more years for 8 reasons we would know.

I voted 'pay just for the fun of it. No vote tally shows, all zeroes. Still using NS 6.2.2

Well, give Mark Lamutt a break. He probably had others things that also need to be done between 8 to 5 everyday.

Yeah, I'm supposed to be working from 8 to 5 most days, but lately it seems more like I work from 5-8!
