I'm trying to figure out if and how to do this. I want to watch on TV1 a HD program and DVR a HD program as well as watch a program on TV2 in SD (all at the same time)? Is this possible?


What are the differences with the local HD channels... I see ABC in HD on channel 8 and on 6383? Are they just coming from different satellites?

I'm also trying to figure out the easiest way to navigate the guide and not show all the duplicate channels - is it better to create a favorites or should I just lock and hide those channels?

You have two satellite tuners, so you can record/watch two channels simultaneously. The third tuner is dedicated to OTA. You'll need an external antenna for this capability. You can watch a recorded program while recording another. This is a great way to watch sports... record the events and watch it later, allowing you to zap the commercials.

I'd suggest you set up favorite lists. I have one for movies, another for sports, and a third for regular programming. My wife has separate lists on the SD set in another room.
