Moves from 119 to 110

I was just checking through all my channels to make sure they are all there and noticed a scrolling banner on Buisness TV saying from 22 January this channel will require a Dish 500 syste. Obviously the channel is moving, I wonder if E* is moving any other channels as well.

PROGRAMMING UPDATE

BTV

DISH Network will soon move BTV channels 9601 and 9602 from the orbital location 119 to orbital location 110.

Please note that two of America's Top 50 services share bandwidth with BTV channels and these services will be affected by this move.

America's Collectible Network (Channel 227) shares bandwidth with BTV Channel 9601

Beauty & Fashion (Channel 225) shares bandwidth with BTV Channel 9602.

The procedure/dates for the move are outlined here:

1. Wednesday, January 8, 2003, Channel 9601 and Channel 9602 will be available at the 110 orbital location.

2. Wednesday, January 8, 2003, Channel 9603 and Channel 9604 will launch at the 119 orbital location. These channels will carry the same content as channels 9601 and 9602.

3. Wednesday, January 22, Channel 9603 will no longer be available at the 119 orbital location; this programming will only be available on Channel 9601 at the 110 orbital location. Customers must have a DISH 500 to access the programming on Channel 9601 or to access America's Collectible Network (Channel 227).

4. On a date yet to be determined, Channel 9604 will no longer be available at the 119 orbital location; this programming will only be available on Channel 9602 at the 110 orbital location. Customers must have a DISH 500 to access the programming on Channel 9602 or Beauty & Fashion Channel (Channel 225).

5. Crawls will appear on the channels during BTV broadcasts to notify customers of the move.


Please note that effective January 22, customers must have a DISH 500 to access programming on BTV Channel 9601 or to access America's Collectible Network. When Channel 9604 is no longer available, customers must have a DISH 500 to access programming BTV Channel 9602 or to access Beauty & Fashion Channel.

Why couldn't they just leave these channels in the low 900s like they used to be.
