DVR Service Fee *free* With Premier Package?

If you had the Premier package before July 12th it is free. If you got the Premier package after that date you have to pay the DVR service fee.

HEre is a question I have . If you sub to the hd dvr plus pack with the dvr fee covered and you add say 5 premiums to get the same channels you had with the premier pack , do you get bumped up to the Premier pack again and then pay the dvr fee? Or if you sub to say 4 premiums and the hd dvr plus pack do you not have to pay for the dvr fee? Seems kind of stupid to penalize folks who want more programming ,but reward those who don't want as much? It would mean more people would end up subbing to less priced programming packs and leaving the premier pack. Which would make the average price paid for programming -drop instead of climb , which is what the companies want .

D* uses 5 premiums (hbo, sho, starz, cinemax and sports pack). So if you add 4 premiums to HD-DVR package you pay $111. This is cheaper than premeir and hd + dvr service which ends up to be 116. Basically you get the 5 premium package for 5 dollars. So basically you can add 4 premiums to HD-DVR service without going to premier.
