Anyone know why the Sacramento Kings are NEVER in HD on NBALP? They are only on national TV once or twice this year, and even their in home local games are in SD. Don't get me wrong, they do suck:lol: , I'm not a fan..., but I'm curious why they continually are in crappy SD all over the place. Their local games are shown on Comcrap channel 656 and I'm pretty sure the games on Comcrap on cable are in HD. Is it just the Comcrap vs. DTV hatred that's out there?

Don't hold me to this but I think it is a fiber issue for D* to get kings games ... which means they will have them soon

I emailed CSNW a couple of weeks ago and asked why they aren't in HD yet. I received the following reply:

"The launch of DirecTV was pushed back until after January 1st. There were some technical issues with the proper installation even I don't fully understand but we are hoping to be available in HD sometime in late January. I'm keeping my fingers crossed."

So I guess that is a good thing? I know there are a LOT of bugs with this HD rollout, so that's par for the course. I just hate watching hoops in SD. Looks like "S".

Locally here, some home games are shown in HD on our local ABC channel. Comcast West (which carries Kings) and is the one picked up by NBALP is not HD yet on DirecTV. As per the other postings, hopefully they'll have it ready in early '08.

Hopefully it will actually happen by the end of January. I'm tired of watching the Kings in SD. Basketball in HD is so much more enjoyable to watch. I emailed DTV and all they would say is that they were working on it. So hopefully the info from CSNW is accurate and will happen sooner.

Now if we could just get all our starters healthy at the same time...........

So much for the starters: bye-bye Bibby, Artest is sure to go next.

Well, obviously it didn't happen at the end of January

We're now headed towards the end of February and I have not found any updates on this.

Has anyone heard anything more?

I just emailed them and asked if the delay was because they traded that fiber for coax. I'll paste the reply here... <g>
