I got a letter today stating that my monthly price would drop, because I sub to HBO and Cinemax along with a free PPV coupon. :)
My kids were excited about the free PPV.......
I recently changed to Starz, but then changed back to take advantage of the of the HBO/Cinemax pak and the 2 new Cinemax channels coming.

I got mine with my letter letting me know my bil was going up $2 a month.
The PPV Coupon is useless to me as we have PPV turned off on our account. Oh well. :)
I'm assuming that everyone is getting this with their price increase letter? (haven't gotten mine yet)

You can give the ppv coupon to a friend. I remember others that had gotten them and they would give them to me and then I would give them to someone else that could use them. I think they used to give you two free ppv coupons, I guess it is just one now with a price increase, just like in the past.

Received my $2 price increase letter that stated on 1/30 2 more Cinemax channels will be added, Action Max and 5-Star Max plus the free PPV coupon, The coupon can be passed along because the account number is blank, needs to be filled in when submitting.
A free ppv is good, it would be better if you could call up and use it or put a code in when you pay your bill on line so you don't have to send it in!

That is a good idea, to just enter in a number online, or over the phone, or the best idea would be to give credit for one ppv movie on the account automatically if ordered by a certain date. I do not think they do this because some would not send in the coupon anyways therefore they would lose money doing this. I bet half the people at least do not use them.

I've been an E* customer for 4 years now and I've never received a free PPV coupon. And, the only letter I've ever received about a price increase was last year when the Superstations went up in price.

I received one last year & everyone was talking about how the PPV's had better PQ so I ordered JPIII, watched most of it then my 501 took a dump and I lost all my recordings.
The PQ, BTW sucked, it was no better than any other channel, so I wasted a free coupon. This was during the time just before they put the last spotbeam up and overcompression was really really bad, so hopefully it's better now.
I won't waste my money on a PPV unless they really crank up the bandwidth on them.

The PPV channels along with the movie channels are supposed to have the best picture quality. They also give the sports channels more bandwidth so it does not pixelate during all of the movement.
I usually give my PPV coupons to someone that has kids so they can watch a PPV movie together or to someone that has given me some referrals or always paid their bill or been a good customer.

You can use the coupon even if you don't buy a ppv. I did before. The bill said -$3.99
Did I get a free PPV coupon?
Hell NO!
And I have been an E* subcriber for 5.5 years.
I only have three words to express my feelings for you...
Bite me E*!!!!!!!!
I'm so glad that you appreciate me spending my money with you!

How about you give them the time to get all 8 million letters sent out to their customers. I'm sure you'll get a letter explaining the not needed price increase too.
I have not received a statement from Dish in 3 months. (I am on credit card auto pay) I called and verified my address and they have no explanation. I guess this is why I didn't get a letter! :(

I have had customers get it everytime their bill goes up. I think some that does the annual pay gets them too when that bill comes, not for sure though.

We've gotten a fistfull of pay-per-view coupons from Dish since we signed up in April '98. We participated in both Club Dish promotions and I even got a free 501 by having 5 friends sign up. A $2 price increase isn't a big deal to me, the local cable (Time Warner) around here went up over $4 just recently.
Can anyone with locals, suppers and a base package explain how the bundling works? Thanks.

Top 50 with locals will be $29.99 but I am not sure how much it is with the superstations.

Mine came in today. It also says they are adding Telemundo West to Dish latino. I hadn't heard that before.

I did get one. I get them a few times a year. I wonder if if has to do with how many time ( or if you ever) watch ppv's.

My son just watched MIBII so mine came just in time. My mother got one that she won't use, so, I can grab that one too. @3.99 ea, that's 4 months of price increase I get back (sort of). Works for me.
