Last night, Dec 30th, HD Theatre started pixalating around 9 pm. I had the problem on both HR20's. It went on for about 45 minutes then quit. I checked several other HD channels and did not see the problem.

During that time I called customer service and went thru all the gyrations and found no problem. D* is sending a technician out on Wednesday. That should be fun. :D

I have since checked and found that HD-Theatre is on Sat 110, transponder 8. The signal strength last night was 78-79. Today it is about the same but as low as 75 on both tuners in both receivers.

Did anyone else experience that problem? Any suggestions before or during my service call?

Thanks,

Tom

Yes Tom I also had pixelization last night on 76.I was recording The Equator & a show on the Southwest Canyons and such & there were 2 or 3 occaions where the [icture was awful & about to cut out.I thought it was rain fade,We did have some heavy rain at times during the evening.

HD Theater looks better on my Time Warner Cable SA8300 DVR than it does on my H20. I assume this is because it is still a MPEG2 channel. The MPEG4 ones look pretty good, about equal to cable.

I've had very intermittent pixelization on only one of my local HD channels (Ch 2 out of Baltimore). I'll have to do signal level checks, as we have had a lot of high wind that could have caused an alignment issue, but it also started after the recent software uprgade.
