View Full Version : Install ?: Mount Dish 1000 on Starband pole?

I've currently got a starband dish (no longer in use) mounted on a 2 3/8 inch pole. When I got rid of starband (and the dish network LNBs mounted on that dish) and moved to the Dish 1000, I just pounded a fence post into the ground next to the starband dish as a temporary solution until I found a way to mount the Dish 1000 on the 2 3/8 inch pole.
Haven't found it yet, and it's clearly time to mount the Dish 1000 permanantly!
I've seen pipe adapters on various sites, but I'm not sure if they will do exactly what I want. I need something to mount the 1 5/8 inch Dish 1000 on the 2 3/8 inch pole, either a pipe adapter, or some sort of plate I can mount to the pole, then attach the Dish 1000.
Anyone able to help out? Can someone point me to a link to something that they know will do what I want?
Thanks.

There are adapters for this. I don't know of any links that sell them retail. You might find an installer and buy one. They shouldn't cost more than $10.00 (plus shipping).

How about a short length of muffler pipe or the like and have a muffler shop expand it to the correct ID on one end?

Thanks for the suggestions (I'l liking the zip ties idea more and more!) and I apologize for posting and then dissapearing! Had some issues that prevented me from getting to the internet for awhile.
