WGA54G and VOD

I had this up and running for a while, but didn't really use it. Tried it again recently and found that I don't have an internet connection all of a sudden and I can't find the device on my wireless home network. (2wire router based).

What are the steps to getting the HR20 to recognize the router again? I've tried getting a wireless connection to work from Setup, but the IP address is wrong and when I put in the Linksys IP it won't let me connect.

I was lulled into a false sense of security because the HR20/Vista MCE networking installed and the 1st VOD flew without a hitch. The 2nd or 3rd VOD locked up on download and wrecked the all wireless internet/VOIP (Clearwire/Vonage) connection. After system and HR20 reboots and reconfigs, I avoided VOD until the wife saw it in the listings, inquired, and after describing the feature and its problems for her, told her to go ahead and give it a try. It worked, she thought it was great... until I was away on business, and it replicated the meltdown feature, meaning with me away, no quick fix to internet non-connectivity. A circuit break a week later fixed everything prior to my return, but neither of us feels the urgency (partly because of the crappy SD quality) to use it until the forum gives it the beta test stamp of approval. In both problem cases, there were multiple scheduled VOD's, just 2 or 3, but there was at least one other in the download queue. As long as only one VOD was initiated AND completed at a time, then it behaved. Wondering if anyone else can corroborate or dispute similar experiences.
