My mom in Albuquerque( I live in Dallas area) has had DirecTV for quite sometime. I have always kept her up to date with receivers etc. Well, with the recent HD channels that have gone up, she needed a new receiver and dish etc., her current RCA HD receiver was acting wierd anyway.
Made the call to DirecTV and get her a new HD receiver and install etc for $19.95. Great no problem there.
Date is scheduled and all should be good. This was at the beginning of December.
I get to her house for Christmas and check out the setup. The installer had to move the dish for some reason off of her current chimney mount that was used for her 3lnb dish. So, he decided to install it to her patio cover. That is fine for now, but when her trees grow in with leaves, she will have some major problems as their is a Weeping Willow tree directly in the line of sight for the satellites. :nono2:
Cannot believe such a dumb move on an installers part, well I actually can believe it reading some of the stories here.
Fortunately she has the protection plan and I will call once the leaves start coming in to get it relocated again and not have to pay $70 for it.
