According to antennaweb.org I need a small-multidirectional antenna to receive my local HD channels. I want to mount it on the roof but I don't want anything too big or ugly.

Is there an antenna that will mount to my D* 5LNB dish? I don't use the OTA all that much, but I'm running new wire and it only makes sense to throw it in there.

Let me know if I can give you any more information to help get an easier answer.

The chances that your 5 LNB is pointed in the correct direction is pretty small.

I am not sure anyone has built one that clips on to that dish... and frankly, it would be a waist of money.

Check out the antenna advice in the "Local HDTV Reception Forum" at http://www.avsforum.com. Find the thread for Austin and you can ask local experts what works well in your area.

Thanks litzdog. I'll be sure to check it out. AVS Forum is such a great resource.

I don't have to clip onto the 5LNB dish, but the less obvious the better.

Maybe this added mount will help.

I have the MS-2000 from Winegard and its great.

its not that large and picks up all my locals and part of the next DMA as well

I got it from Denny's Antenna service in Ithaca, MI. They will work with you if it doesn't meet your needs and will issue refunds or exchanges.
