How to remove and old favorites list

I have a DishTV Model 4900. I have created a few favorites lists. Some where just temporary when I created them. Now I want to delete the unneeded lists, but... well I can't find out how to remove them? I have tried to clear out the list name, but I get an error that the list name much contain 1 character. So I removed all of the channels from this list, and I get an error that no channels exist in the list.

Ugh? How do I get this purged out?

Empty the favorite channel list by reclicking on the checked channels. Save the new empty list. If you want change the name of the list for example rename it list 1 and save it. When you push the guide button it should skip over the empty list.

There should be an option to delete the list with the push of a button. Resetting the receiver to manufacturer default would also work but restore everything on the receiver that you had saved, in which I do not know many other things that would have been stored other than that.
