I've searched the forums and I think my solution is pretty simple, but I figured I'd ask before going any further. I'm looking to get an HR21 to replace my H10-250 but want to make sure I can get 99 and 103.

Years ago, I installed my own dish and ran the wires myself because every installer that came out said I would never get a signal.

I currently receive 101 and 110 with a strong signal (85+), but only get 119 when the leaves fall from the trees. Any other time of the year, 119 is very weak or not there.

The tree line is consistent across, I'm getting 101 and 110 OVER the trees, not around or through them. If my thinking is correct, I just need to go higher to get 119, 99 and 103. My question is how much higher?

If all I need to do is go higher, I'm looking to get one of the roof mount tripods from Solid Signal, but I'd rather not get the 10ft if I don't need to.

If anyone has any suggestions, comments, or if more info is needed, let me know.
ANY ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kevin

Actually 99 and 103 are very close to the 101-deg W satellite in the sky, just a couple of degrees left & right respectively. 119 for you in New Jersey is lower in the sky.

Check out the link in my signature below. You can use the moon's position once or twice each month to help you "see" where each satellite is located in the sky.
