I have a non-HD TV in the TV room and it has a Hughes DVR connected to it.
I have a HD TV in the kitchen that I want to add a HD DVR to it to take advantage of the HD part of the TV.

My question is this;

Is there a way to record something on one DVR and view it on the other TV? Sometimes there are more then 2 things on that I want to record but I can only do 2 shows on the TV room TV (while I am watching something I previously recorded) So if I record the 3rd show on the kitchen TV would I have to sit in the kitchen to watch it?

Thanks much and I am happy to be here!

Welcome Aboard.

You can not share recordings accross different receivers at this time. It's called MRV-Multi-Room-Viewing. many are hoping it will be available soon.

if you have an HD DVR and record something that is SD, there are connections on the back of the HD DVR that will give you a SD image which could then be run via cables to your other TV, but that would be a real mess with all kinds of stuff and cables. It can be done, but is it worth it?
