Hello! New to DBSTalk and I have a question on converting my current wall mounted 3-LNB to a new Slimline 5-LNB dish. I have a very custom installation and I believe that I should be able to support the new ~25lbs Slimline dish.
My current mount (photo's attached) is bolted six times into anchors drilled and glued into the stuco and beam. The Mount foot is glued in addition to the bolts. It is a standard 1-5/8" mast mount that has been extended with an additional straight 1-5/8" mast, collared to the bottom mast and then attached right above that collar with an mast tri-pod support. That support is bolted to the wall into the beam. The dish is very close to the roof and this is a roof that is lower than a wall blocking the natural wind.
My plan is to use one of the adapter collars I have seen on this site to convert the mast to support the 2" Slimline dish. I'd like to hear from you all as to which of the many out there (adapters) would be best for my installation. Also, does anyone think that my setup is not suited for using the adapter? I have seen them used on post mounted dishes (for the most part).
Thanks for your assistance!
