I have spent many hours researching the various switches for DirecTV. I would appreciate any recommendations or feedback before I purchase.

I have standard dual-LNB DirecTV dish. I'm adding receivers so I need a total of 6 outputs.

I've looked at the following switches (3x8):

Channel Master 6228IFD
Perfect Vision PVMS-8EP
Eagle Aspen S-2180A-LX

Is anyone familiar with the quality of these switches or manufacturers? Can you recommend one of these or perhaps some other brand?

Thanks.

I have a Spaun 2X6 multi-switch:

The part number is SMS 261F.

It is available for $47 plus $5 shipping.

Do you need a 3X8 or do you get locals via Directv? If you get locals via Directv, then a 2X6 will work fine.

Here is a link to a Spaun 3X8 multi-switch if that is what you need:

It is $69 plus $5 shipping.

I had a Terk that I had to take back as it had a bad outgoing connector. It pissed me off as I had it mounted and everything.

I have had good luck with Spaun switches (I've had two) so that is what I recommend. YMMV.
