Vip 622 OTA and Sat record

I live in area where I require a rotor to pick up Local OTA. Is it possible to record the same show on the same channel(one OTA and One on Dish). Sometimes the antenna may be pointed in the wrong direction and all I get is the OTA signal was interrupted box. I want to record NCIS in HD OTA and NCIS in SD on sat tuner.
Is this possible.

Absolutely

Just go into the guide and set NCIS up on the SD feed and also set it up on the OTA HD feed.
That still leaves one Sat tuner free.

Off topic but do you know anywhere in montgomery to get a decent set of tower speakers Looking to upgrade my BIC Bookshelf. I looked at BB and CC did Cohens have any when you got your bulb? I just got a new 3808 rec and feel the need for more speaker

Interscapes (my employer until a week ago) sells Boston Acoustic and can order klipsch.

Both are excellent speakers.

If you want to ride to Birmingham Hooper's on 280 has the klipsch line on display.

Since the same program was being recorded from another source the 622/722 assumed this second recording was a duplicate and skipped it. Just press the DVR button three times and change that recording from skipped to record.

I had a similar occurrence last night. I was watching the Orange Bowl OTA and had a timer set to fire on another OTA channel right in the midle of it. I skipped the OTA recording and addes it to my SD channels over satellite. It came up with the red X so I had to go in and un-skip it.
