View Full Version : Regional Sports in SF
I just got my two tivos hooked up and signed up for Total Choice Plus and locals. Indications are that you get a local regional sports network so I expected Fox Sports Net Bay Area (654) given I'm in the San Francisco DMA and that's what I got under Dish Network. This channel indicated its needs a subscription. Can anyone else in the SF Bay area tell me what they get for regional sports coverage?

You'll get it. Just FS Bay Area, not the others. If you want the other FSN channels you need the Sports Package.
TC Plus will include FS Bay Area.
So I'm not getting it. What I do get is:
For ordering information
please call customer service, ext 721.
I guess I need to call to complain.

If you are getting SF locals then I'd assume you'd get the FSN Bay Area.
Make sure you have Total Choice Plus w/ locals to get the Bay Area Fox Network.
I have TC+ w/locals but on speaking with customer service at first they wanted to swap my access cards which I questioned since the odds of having two access cards being broken at the time time was a little too high. He spoke with a supervisor and said they've been having trouble authorizing the regional sports net. I'm going to give it another week to see if it gets fixed.

That seems odd. I've never heard of that. You might want to ask them to send you out two new Access Cards in the mean time, or at least a rebate.
Actually I'm so estatic about how great the HDVR2s work the discovery about missing FoxBA was just an accidental step in my learning curve. I only watch this channel for Giants baseball so I have some time. Meanwhile I'm marveling at how the tivo decides to record things I might what to watch and then when watching them actually does all the things my Dishplayer should have done but didn't.
Holy Cow, Batman!!
