Dish301 Remote question--Lost 301 programming

I am trying to pull up the menu on my old 301 that I haven't used for about a year and my darn remote will not work. Since there are no buttons other than up and down on the receiver I am stuck. The remote had no batteries for quite a while so I don't know if it some how "forgot" its base programming for the 301 or what the deal is. And yes I have hit the SAT button to make sure it is on the right program and it has fresh batteries that are in right. Is there a way to tune it for my receiver again? The red light works so it just about has to be a programming problem.

I think if you pull the card out it will go to the sysinfo screen where you can reset the remote code.

I pulled it out and it did go to the first screen but don't know what to do from there.

Sorry, once the sysinfo screen is up hit record, it should update to match the remotes address
