Improving H21 RF response?

I see in another thread that the HR20-100 RF response can be improved by adding a long piece of wire instead of the antenna that comes with the receiver. But the H21 has no external antenna connection, so has anyone found a way to boost the RF capability with some modification? I know I am not alone in having this problem with the H21. My H20-600 will respond from across the house, but the H21 won't work reliably from more than 5 feet away.

I am curious about this myself. I have an install next week and I will probably get 2 - H21's and I need to use RF on one of them from another room. Anyone else had problems with the H21's RF range ?

Maybe some adventurous person will tear into an H21 to figure out how to attach some sort of antenna to extend the range. Earl? The number of views for this post suggests that quite a few folks have an interest in seeing this feature improved.
