Xbox programming codes for Platinum Plus remote?

I'm wondering if it's possible to program my 721 Platinum Plus remote to also control the Microsoft Xbox. Are there remote programming codes for the Xbox? If anybody has them, please post here!

The remote sensor is compatible on some level with RCA remotes, so universal remotes that contain RCA remote codes can be used instead of the remote that comes with the kit.

Not exactly what you were looking for, but a starting point. There's also a excellent web site for remote controls, and of course, I can't remember the URL right now to tell you. I'm sure someone else will chime in with its web address.

If it isn't listed in your manual the capability dosen't exist. The universal remote is not a learning remote, if the code wasn't put in the chip when it was shipped it can't be added.

Try an MX-500 Universal Remote. Worth every penny! All my remotes are now in a drawer somewhere....

If you are going to have to buy a new remote to try and get XBox DVD, wouldn't it be easier to just buy the actual remote control from Microsoft, at least you know it will work.

He would need to anyways, if he hasnt already. the Xbox wont support ANY remote out of the box, the DVD playback kit has the remote AND the IR sensor. (also pays the licence fees for the DVD playback software)

The remote is an RCA, if you have any codes for a RCA DVD player it should work.

Yes, of course I already have the Xbox remote and IR sensor. I'll give the RCA DVD codes a try and report back.

Well, the answer is somewhat.... Not all of the buttons do what they should but a couple of the most important ones do (like play, stop, pause). None of the menu scrolling items work though. So, I've relegated back to the Xbox remote....
