DirecTV released 0x1EA software this morning. Does anyone know what was included in this fix?

It probably has all the features in the CE release 1E2 like 30 second skip, new UI menus (love the fast access to CC), enhanced single live buffer, etc.

Woot! Does this mean a phone line is no longer required at all?

30 Second Skip: You will now have the choice between 30s SKIP or SLIP. To enable: Keyword Search 30SKIP or 30SLIP

I'm assuming SKIP is like a jump, and SLIP is more like FF, in that you can see still see what's being skipped on the screen?

Woot! Does this mean a phone line is no longer required at all?Yep, I've had my phone line disconnected since this was in CE and tested with a PPV - worked like a charm.

* Guide: Channel Color shadding to represent subscribed vs unsubscribed channels
* Shortcut for Closed Caption On/Off


Those three new features are awesome.

To my knowledge, the only reason to keep your phone line plugged in anymore is if you want caller ID info popup on your screen.
