Hello, :hi:
I think this is where I should post this question...
I have a Harmon Kardon receiver, Dish 301, sayno vcr, and Sony 5 disk DVD player. I also have an older 27in TV with only a coax cable feed so I have one of those converters( I can't think of the name of it) that you get from radio shack connecting the DVD, 301, and the receiver to the TV. I needed it mainly because of the DVD not being able to connect to the VCR with out the picture being messed up. I also have an OTA to get my locals. I get a hum noise out of the speakers. :hair: I have had this noise for years and have just delt with it. I would like to try to work on it now.
I think this has to do with grounding but I am not sure. And I haven't looked to see if my dish cables are grounded yet. I will do this tonight. From reading the forums I have noticed that my DISH stuff should be grounded to a grounding block and to a water pipe. Should anything else be grounded? how? And is the noise from something not being grounded or from something else...???
Thanks in advance.....
Matt
