I am moving into a new apartment this weekend. I would like to set everything up correctly from the get go. I have one HR20 and would like to get another 20/21 and feed all my receivers and televisions with OTA as well. This means that I am going to need one of those nice new SWM's to do it right, however, I cannot find one for sale anywhere. Anyone have any idea when they will become available or where I can get one?

Thanks

X

No national release yet, no date when it will be available nationally. If you don't mind dropping the cash to buy your own, that thread will help.

Considering what you're investing in multiple IRDs, to even need it, it's not out of line.

Hi a361c :welcome_s welcome aboard!

The SWM is a Single Wire Multiswitch (SWM). There are currently two different models, SWM5 and SWM8. They are used mostly for DVR installations where the area of install only has one wire going to it, when the DVR has multiple tuners, it can use a single wire for both tuners, if so equiped. Others can give a far better description with deeper detail.
