I have had intermittent problems with heavy pixelization and 771 errors on the 103 conus feeds for the last couple of months. This is only one the even numbered transponders. The odd numbers are in the high 80's to high 90's. Starting last Sunday, after a three day power outage, the signal's on the even numbered transponders went to all zero's with an associated 771 message. Also, I lost all of the MPEG2 stations from 70-79 and the national network feeds in the eighties. These stations either displayed no picture or 727 program not available in you area. This was on all six of my HR-20's.
I called D* and support told me the MPEG2 and Nationals were provided on Sat 119 transponder 28. This showed a signal strength of zero also. I got a service call set for Friday AM.
Here's my problem. Last night the signals and stations all returned to normal. When the tech arrives I know he's going to tell me it's trees blocking the signal or a small alignment issue as was done the last service call. This does not ring true to me since I had three months of flawless service prior to this. This occurred when the trees actually had leaves and through heavy weather.
Is there a specific line or port on the multi-switch that carries these signals? Any suggestions I can pass on the the service tech? Thanks.
