I just got the slimline heating kit and I was wondering how easy it would be to remove just the reflector part of the assembly for mounting the heater .. The heater can go on the front also of the reflector and maybe thats easier anyway.

From the instructions it looks like its just 4 bolts, is that the case?

4 adjustment bolts.. not a good idea to remove it unless your ready to realign it..

you cant remove the reflector part without knocking off the alignment mast? I think that might make this an easy call :)

You can remove the four bolts that go through the reflector into the "Dish Bracket". The "dish bracket" is what the LNB feed arm and the AZ/EL backassembly connect to.

A very minor adjustment may be needed afterwards. Just take readings before & after. Pay close attention to the levels on the 103.

You are exactly right.

that's what I thought. I'm actually getting a guy from a local satellite company come do it so a minor adjustment should not phase him anyway. I'd do it but I'm scared of roofs but I like to know what needs to be done.
