This evening we were recording ER (HD) through a Series Link and the only thing it recorded was grey.
However, I know there was live TV since when we switched to the recorded we saw it playing. Now I switched to the recorder which powered it on and I just saw a screen quickly asking if it could change channel and then it was showing ER.
So I hit list and started playing ER (was about 45 minutes into the recording) yet all I got was grey.
When I went back to live TV I could see it again however rewinding did not change the frame at all. So no ER although picture was coming in.
Once the show was over I restarted the DVR yet the recorded ER was still grey.
This is with "old" national release (1be I believe) on a HR20-700.
Did anyone else encounter this issue before? Does anyone know if DirecTV is aware of these issues since when I came home from beginning this week I found that the DVR frozen since the new year (so lost some more recordings their).
I have lost more recordings now in the 6 months I'm using this DVR then the 4-5 year s I've been using Tivo.
I constantly see all these new features coming in yet my primary purpose for this equipment does not seem to be able to do it's job reliable???
