I bought my daughter a Disney Hanna Montanna 15" LCD TV. It is manufactured by Starlight Marketing Limited.
I find Starlight listed in the remote codes, but the code does not work.
Anyone have any ideas as others to try? Any help would be greatly appreciated.:D

try every code? seriously. It may use the same codes as another brand because it may be using components that are the same for another brand. Also, you could try calling customer service and see what they say. Trying every code might be faster...
Look at Disney remote codes!?!
Otherwise, code search baby!
Turn the TV ON
Push and hold down Mute (keep it held down)
Push and hold Select (keep it held down)
Look the the Top of the REMOTE
The green light under the word TV should blink 2CE
After the light blinks 2CE push in 9-9-1 (without the -'s)
The light will blink 2CE upon entering the '1'
Push in 1 again, the light will blink 2CE again
Push the CH UP button on the remote, hold for about 2 seconds, let go
Repeat
Repeat until TV turns OFF (not flickers, not changes channels, OFF)
When the TV turns OFF, push the SELECT button to save the code
Push PWR to turn the TV back on.
Slide the switch back over to the D* position and try the volume/power
If things arent working properly, start over. The first time you click channel up the TV will turn off. Manually turn the TV back on, and continue.

Yea, if its the HM1500LT, Its a "Disney" TV, similar to the Cars TV.

- put the switch on the remote to tv
- press and hold mute
- while holding mute, press and hold select; the light on the remote will flash twice
- press 991, the light on the remote will flash twice
- press 1, the light on the remote will flash twice
- press channel up, do this several times, each time you press it, the remote will try another code. the tv should eventually turn off.
- once it turns off, press select and turn it back on. It should be programmed by then.
If the light on the remote flashes three times, it means it used all the available codes, the tv is not compatible.
This process can take over 30 minutes, so please be patient :) Good luck!

You must click once every 45 seconds or something because I've never had the process take over 13 minutes, and I've gone through the entire code database for TV's, VCR's, and Media Components on an RC64.

Where can I find Disney remote codes? None are listed in my Directv receivers.
It is a model HM1500LT as you mentioned.
I have done the code search twice all the way through and the TV never shut off.

Thanks for your help, Unfortunately none of these codes worked.:(
Try 10463, 10171, and 10178.
Curious, which model remote are you using?
You went through all the codes twice as in, you saw the triple light? Both times, or you got tired and gave up.

Ahhhh.
Are any of the remotes in the house RC64 remotes!?!
The RC24's dont support Disney TV's as far as im aware, and you'd be confirming it if you've tried code scan twice.
If you dont have an RC64, they're $15 without PP, free with it.

Try programming into AV2 mode, assuming you dont have that mode already setup, that way you dont have to mess with your current settings

Thanks to all that tried to help. Today I got a call from tech support at Disney Electronics.
According to them the new LCD Disney TV's will not work with any universal remotes.
They are infrared so I mentioned using a learning remote. The tech said they have not seen a learning remote work with one yet and they have tried quite a few. But they did mention they had plenty of remotes for sale if it breaks.:nono:
So far the New models are Hanna Montanna and High School Musical.
If anyone ever figure anything out, please let me know
Thanks, Chris
Wowzers. Thanks for the update :)

The UPC for that TV has the same prefix as the Memorex 13" CRT. Try the Memorex codes. The Memorex web site has support for Disney products and LCD TVs, but not this product specifically.

Thanks, Tried the memorex codes. These 2 new Disney LCD sets are made by Starlight. When I talked with Disney / Starlight tech support it almost sounded like the intent when they were designed was to not have them work with Universal remotes. It was a strange conversation.
When I asked if this was done on purpose..They would repeat " Our remotes do not work with universal remotes":nono2:

I have yet to see an IR learning remote not "learn". If you are serious about using a differ remote, use on that learns from a "head to head shootout", as I like to call it. I have used this process many times with my MX500. I even taught the dang thing to fly my son's helicopters

I know this has been suggested once before, but just in case try 10180 again? As far as I can tell that is the only code recommended for Starlight and RC24.

A little OT... I have an R15 with the RC32 remote. Are you saying I can use my PP to get an RC64 remote for free? My current RC32 remote will not turn my TV on/off via the DirecTV on/off button so can I say it is defective then?
