UTV RCA 490-RE reselling

I recently purchased a refurbished RCA 490-RE at BestBuy.  I currently have (4) 490-RE receivers that are activated an I am using.  I purchased this receiver with the intent to resell or possibly keep as a spare.  I was given an Access Card with the unit.  The problem is that BestBuy scanned my credit card and told me that if I didn't activate the unit within30 days Direct TV would charge my card $150.

What do I need to do to be able to resell this unit without Direct TVcharging me the $150?

Same question for :  If I chose to keep the unit for a spare and not activate.

What happens with the Access Card?

Activate the unit to replace one of the units you already have activated. Pay the $150, or return it to BB for a refund are the options I see.
