In my remote hunt I spotted the 720, and I like the looks of it, and was wondering If anyone here has it, and If so, how do you like it?

I have the 720 along with an old MX-500. I've just had problems getting the 720 programmed correctly so it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Sometimes it screws up when it switches the TV input or doesn't turn one of the devices on when it's supposed to, etc. If I'd spend the time to get it programmed properly it'd be great. But in the meantime I still use my old MX-500 instead. I think I should just throw away the MX-500.. then I'd be forced to fix the 720 to work :)

That's funny.......I'm getting ready to put my MX-500 on Ebay:) . It's a cool remote, just not as user friendly as the Harmony remotes seem to be, from everything I've read and heard. I'm real close to getting the 670, but found the 720, and like the shape better, so thought I'd ask here. I don't like how the select button works on the MX-500 either. If you don't press it right, it toggles easily.........to me anyway. It should be a separate button in the middle.

Yeah trying to press select is sometimes awkward. That being said, the 720 configuration app does support the HR20/21. One nice thing about the 720 that the MX-500 doesnt do is switching all your home entertainment equipment. For example, when you press "Watch TV" it changes the stereo inputs to the one hooked to the HR20 (now a 21 - D* came out today and switched out the 20 for a 21 due to modem failure) and it changes the TV input. When you want to watch a DVD it does the same and switches all the inputs to what's hooked up to your DVD player.

Easy to setup via computer? Are you crazy? That program you use to program the remote has to be the most convoluted thing I've ever used. For example, if the remote isn't switching the inputs properly on one device you have to go through the entire setup process again and hope it fixes it. The problem I had was it may fix the problem you had before, but a lot of the time there was some other problem. It wasn't switching my stereo to the correct input, so I went through the entire setup process again, now it does that but it no longer turns the TV on, etc.
It is a great remote though - once you get it configured properly. Maybe those problems are just mine though. I'm sure some people breeze through the setup process and have no problems. One of my biggest issues was that the software didn't name the inputs as they were on my TV and receiver so I'd have to repeatedly go through the "guided setup" process over and over until I got it right (which I never did). Maybe this thread will light a fire under me and I'll configure mine tomorrow though :)

Are you sure on that one? That seems odd.

It does support the HR20/21 - and yes I'm sure.
