View Full Version : HR-20 HDMI & Component Simultaneously?
Quick question for those in the know-
Can I use my HR-20 via HDMI & Component output Simultaneously?
I want to run some extra TV's off the signal for the super bowl and just wanted to know before I bought what I would need.
Thanks

Yes, but you have to watch the same thing on both TV's which will not be problem since you are going to use it for the Super Bowl.
You can actually use all the outputs at the same time.

This is one of the best/most important features of a DVR. (Others do it.) I couldn't live without it.
Great guys-
Just as I was suspecting.
(Yes, I'm aware I'd be sharing the same channel. Thanks for the head up though)

AND the S-Video AND the composite output; ALL are active for whatever you want.
Of course, when tuning an HD channel, the SD outputs are in SD as well as letterboxed (since HD is 16:9). Many also you an external NTSC modulator (I use an older VHS recorder) to allow the output to be distributed via 'standard' Ch3/4 RF.
Hopefully, one of the wireless HD transmitters that were debuted at CES last week will make it to market, allowing HD signals to be likewise distributed.
