On MPEG4 broadcasts, using FF1 trickplay used to present a very "jumpy" fast-forward playback, but now it's a much smoother flowing fast motion playback. I thought that it might be related to the latest CE, but MPEG4 programs that were recorded before last weekend (1/12) still have the jumpy playback with FF1 playback.
I'm guessing that the MPEG4 encoding parameters have changed somewhat either for the purpose of improving FF1 playback or for some other reason which in turn caused that beneficial side effect.
