Hello. I am having problems with signal on a 301 receiver and when I went to the dish and took the lnbf off I would hear buzzing, sounding like I could hear the voltage running through it. This is the first time I have heard this sound. Is this normal? Is the lnbf bad? It is a dish 500 with a legacy twin.

I have heard an occasional LNB make noise before, but haven't been called back to replace them so I wouldn't worry about it!

You watch waaaay too much TV, you're killing the poor thing, and it's buckling under the heavy use!!

today is the day for random questions I guess, but personally I've always noticed a small "hum" coming from every Dish i've ever owned, and i've had 4.
I'm assuming I am either hearing some strange acoustic feedback from the bowl of the dish reflecting outside sounds and not the LNBF itself..right?

Buzzing LNBs with bad signals are not normal. I've heard the buzzing myself but only with bad LNBs. Never heard it yet on a good one.

The lnbf was put back and there is a signal now. The dish had to be readjusted, it got bumped or the winds loosened it up or something.
