Figured I post this here since it was an issue with both my R15-300 and R10 DirecTiVo.

I had Life on Mars on BBCA set to record new episodes and was waiting for the new season to start, but did not pay attention to when it would air. The other day, Entertainment Weekly had a piece on it and mentioned that the season was almost over. Checking in the Episodes list on both DVR's, I found multiple episodes of Life on Mars coming up. None of them were marked for recording, including first run episodes. I believe this is because all the episodes were listed as just Life on Mars and not with an episode title.

I had no problem recording the first season so I don't know why they changed things in the guide with the second season. Has anyone else seen this happen with series they are recording (basically, how the episode is described/displayed in the guide being changed from one season to another)?

I've been having the same problem. It's a problem with the guide. The Tribune company isn't giving it the correct information. I just use the guide to set one-time recordings each week at 6pm PST when the new episodes air.

Both of my HR20's have been recording all of the episodes fine.

I suspect you need to set to record "all" not just new episodes. Not sure why the R15 did not record but this problem has been around on the TiVo for a while. The guide data probably has the "first showing" date as being the one when the program was shown in Canada and the TiVo thinks it is an old program. Doctor Who suffered from the same problem last year.

Many of the shows on BBC America have odd guide data. It's safest to record "all" showings.

I feel bad for you. I noticed when I set up a series link for Life on Mars new episodes that nothing was in the To Do list, so I manually scheduled each episode (had to do that to avoid conflicts). That was easier for me than recording all and deleting the many, many repeats.

This is why some people are upset that it's more of a chore to get to the To Do list, as they check it to make sure that their planned recordings are really scheduled.

And yes, I've noticed this with other shows, especially on stations other than the major networks.

You could still get Episodes 6, 7, and 8 according to the BBCA website. Here's where DOD could really be of use, if it had BBCA shows (I don't know if it does).
