Hi Everyone,
I do not want to use electronic bills or do the credit card thing with DirecTV. Can I use the website for Remote Booking etc but still get a paper bill? I am hesitant to register without knowing if they will turn off the paper bill or not.
Regards,
:)

Yes. Your billing preferences are just one of the many things you can control using your online account.

I've had my online account for years and I still get a paper bill. I just never signed up for automatic billing.

Automatic billing has nothing to do with getting a paper bill vs not getting a paper bill. I have the DirecTV Rewards VISA card and my DirecTV is automatically billed to this card every month. I also get a paper bill.
You can either get a paper bill in the mail -OR- you can "view your STATEMENTS online". That is the option that triggers an end to your paper bill. Even if you choose NOT to view your STATEMENT online, you can still arrange to pay your bill automatically every month, and you can still view the "activity since last statement" section. You just can't see an actual electronic "picture" of your statment online and still get a paper bill.
Hope this clears up this issue!!

Just be careful not to "View Your Bill" because it brings up a screen that asks you to eliminate paper bills. A lot of people do this by mistake.
You can even pay your bill on the website each month and still get paper bills. That's what I do.

Yes this can be misleading. It kind of tricks you into signing up to stop mailed bills. Makes it seem almost like you have to stop mailed bills in order to pay online. If you back out of the view bills and click on the pay bill link you get the best of both worlds (mailed bills and pay online)

I made this mistake.
In the end, I kept it and liked it. I would usually end up throwing away the papers anyway (I know, I should be keeping it)
As long as D* saves the past statements on the site, I am content with it staying online for my seeing

If I don't have a paper bill laying around I'll never remember to pay it.

Ditto. It was nice to be able to review your bill on line from time to time and now you can't unless you pay electronically.
