HR20 MediaShare

Ok I tried everything I could for shareing using MWP11 and everything is working except I never get the HR20 device or any other device to show up on MWP11. Is there something you have to do on the HR20 to get it to show up on your MWP11? I at a lost on this now. Ok I also noticed that I am suppose to see something on my HR20 for MediaShare but I do not see any thing on the list.

Thanks I look into this when I get home and try it. I did try some of what I saw in the links but there are a couple that I have not tested and will when I get home.

I know this doesn't really answer your WMP11 questions, but I would recommend TVersity instead. I had too much trouble with WMP11, so I got TVersity (it's free!) and with all the transcoding it does and the easy setup, it was a much better choice.

Read the install information regarding Windows Firewall setup and IMO you'll be much happier.

I looked at this last night but I was confused how to add the device (HR20) to it. I guess I can do some more reading on how to set it up...

You don't add the device to TVersity. My memory is a bit vague, but there is a setup option to choose device type. This is best set to "HR20 via wav" or something similar.

The DVR will find the TVersity server within a minute or so. TVersity will not show anything, but the DVR's menu will have added "Music Photos & More."
