Since I got VOD I've started looking for stuff online to record. Well every few minutes it asks me to log off or continue. I'm talking active scrolling in the guide and hitting additional info to look things up and yet they still ask me to log off etc?

I can understand the need for auto off, if you walk away etc. but when i'm actively using the site it's very frustrating

using FF if that matters

I agree it's too quick.

I just recorded a show via my iPhone. It worked great, buy I have to log in again too soon.

So, I agree, it logs you out too quickly.

Isn't only like 10 minutes or something?

Directv.com is a very busy site, but I agree the timeout is way too short. It should be more like 15 minutes.

it's like 10 seconds. lol ..i kid you not...it must not read the guide clicks as clicks is the only thing i can figure out. I've been actively scrolling and it has said it will be logging me off.

Perhaps the higher ups can fix this?

I seems like it's closer to 5, but I could be wrong.

Either way, I'll agree it is pretty short. Then again, these days with how paranoid everyone is with security, it does make sense.

Sites for banks, credit card companies, and even phone providers seem to log you out in 10 or less.

I would like a few more minutes for sure.

I made the same comment in the remote booking thread. They should leave you logged in for the day. Or at least make a tunable option in your profile for folks that are not that concerned about security.

I think there should be an option as well.

Must be protecting you from hackers, file attachers or DirecTV haters. Information super highway has crooks out there!

in theory i guess one could order equipment, ppv, change billing address etc. I have no problem with a 10 min log off if there is NO activity. But there is activity here! that's what bugs me

That would be annoying - I don't use the site much, unless I need to order a PPV I want on all receivers.

No one kicks you out as fast as DIRECTV.

I get logged out even when I never logged in. That is, if I just point my browser to a schedule or something, without logging in, in a few minutes I get a login screen.
