In the past I have used NetMeeting for several different purposes, but it looks like Netmeeting is not included in XP home and I tried installing NetMeeting 3.01 on XP Home but it would not install.
Anyone know if there is a way to get netmeeting working on XP, is there a replacement with a new name? Does it come with/work on XP Pro?
NetMeeting has been merged into MSN Messenger which shoudl already be installed on your comp.

I think it is part of windows messenger, MSN messenger is actually a seperate app now, and if you use windows messenger, it will trick you into a program update that installs MSN messenger and redirects everything to point at msn. :(
I don't think it's called net meeting though. They enhanced it, thus it's called something else now and looks different. ;)
I just looked at mine and all I see is the white board thing. Never used it though.

Actually Netmeeting is still in XP Home.
Go to Start > Run and type "conf"
The netmeeting wizard will appear.
Look in C:\Program Files\Netmeeting\ and you'll see the conf.exe file...

Microsoft usually doens't remove features like that, they just make them very hard to find. The did the same with the old windows msmail, which we still use in our company.

Same with the bundled Backup program. I believe it isn't installed on XP Home but there is an install dir somewhere on the CD.
