I think it the same scenario the Shane faced with Vernon Forrest. Some people just have your number. It may be psychologic but that is more the norm than not. Just because Shane lost to Forrest doesn't make him that less a fighter than De La Hoya lost to in 2001. He just lost. Confidence is the key here. Shane didn't have the confidence that he could beat Forrest, but he knows he can beat Oscar and on the flip side Oscar doesn't know if he can be Shane. Oscar saying he can and that he actually won their match but in 2001 is just lip service. I saw the fight and Shane dominated DLH just as much as Forrest dominated Shane. I don't see DLH bring nothing new to the table to beat Shane. Shane is too quick, just as strong, and has the mental edge.

De La Hoya is the champ for a reason, and I think he's going to win. He has momentum from the Vargas fight, the only thing that would hurt him is a meltdown vs. Campas.

Has SugarShane signed the contract yet?!!!!! Last time I heard Bob Arum was pissed off that he hadnt signed the deal yet....It was only a verbal agreement...and I guess that Arum had heard rumors of Shane being upset over the terms....i.e. his payout..and was threatening to hold off the fight until June when Vargas gets off suspension then set up a rematch between De La Hoya and Vargas...
